Confirmation Guidelines for Students
St. Anne Parish will Confirm students in grades 9-12 who are properly registered at St. Anne Parish or attending St. Anne HS. Confirmation is a two year program. Students must fulfill the prerequisite Year One before continuing on to Year Two.
Requirements for rising 9th grade students:
Year One: Attend 8th grade Faith Formation (must attend 75% of the classes) or attend a Catholic school.
Year Two: Regular participation in the high school youth group (must attend a minimum of 12 sessions). Attend the 8 Confirmation classes. Fulfill all additional Confirmation requirements including a retreat and service hours.
Requirements for high school students who have not yet fulfilled Year One as noted above:
Year One: Regular participation in the high school youth group (must attend a minimum of 12 sessions) or attend a Catholic school.
Year Two: Regular participation in the high school youth group (must attend a minimum of 12 sessions). Attend the 8 Confirmation classes. Fulfill all additional Confirmation requirements including a retreat and service hours.
All students need to attend youth group (FUEL) on a regular basis during their formation for Confirmation. FUEL takes place Sunday mornings. We follow the Faith Formation schedule.
