“Come, let us sing joyfully to the Lord; cry out to the rock of our salvation. Let us come
before him with a song of praise, joyfully sing out our psalms.” – Psalm 95:1-2
The music ministry invites all to pray through song as we lead and promote a singing
Christian community. When the assembled believers sing, the choir and instruments
provide rich chords and harmony to lift up our prayer. The Word is echoed throughout
the liturgy through music and expression. Think of times when you felt the Holy Spirit as
all around you sang with lifted voices. God resides within the Word, notes, and
melodies. Music unites us as one with our Lord.
“God has bestowed upon his people the gift of song. God dwells within each human
person, in the place where music takes its source. Indeed, God, the giver of song, is
present whenever his people sing his praises.” – Sing to the Lord: Music in Divine
Worship.
All are welcome to be a part of the music ministry, including children starting in grade 3.
