Friends of the Oratory

Here’s a polished, welcoming version for your website:

The Friends of the Oratory is a ministry dedicated to supporting the mission of the Rock Hill Oratory while helping individuals grow closer to Christ through the spirituality and charism of our founder, St. Philip Neri. Rooted in charity, friendship, and joyful service, this ministry brings together parishioners from across York County to strengthen our Catholic community.

Originally established under the leadership of Fr. Joseph Wahl, C.O., the Friends of the Oratory was created to increase awareness of the Congregation of the Oratory and its mission. Today, members come from the five parishes served by the Rock Hill Oratory, representing more than 5,000 Catholic families.

Our Mission

The Friends of the Oratory seeks to:

  • Promote awareness of the Rock Hill Oratory and its mission.
  • Support the Oratory’s spiritual, financial, and community needs.
  • Foster fellowship and friendship among parishioners.
  • Organize and assist with fundraising events and special projects that benefit the Oratory.
  • Encourage parish involvement in the life and mission of the Oratory.

How You Can Get Involved

Many parishes in York County have an established Friends of the Oratory ministry. These parish groups work together on local initiatives while also collaborating on county-wide events and projects, including the annual Oratory Valentine Dinner and other fundraising efforts.

Even if your parish does not currently have a formal Friends of the Oratory ministry, you are still welcome to participate by volunteering with county-wide projects and events.

There is a place for everyone to serve, and we would love to have you join us!
